Hola! Bonjour! Konnichiwa! Ni Hao! Guten Tag! Ciao!
– okay, I’m done!
I thought I’d mix up my previously posted blog schedule for the month and do my get to know me post! I’m also going to tag a few of my fellow bloggers below, and ask them to answer a couple of questions!
How old are you?
I am twenty two years young and loving it 🙂
Where are you from?
Ireland 🙂 and no, not the UK/England/Britain. IRELAND ! Hehe.
What do you do for a living?
I just got offered a new job that starts next week! *insert annoying squeal here!*. I’m currently working as a Legal Executive in a Law Firm and studying Payroll at night. Next week, I’ll be joining an Accountancy firm as a Trainee Accountant and Payroll Specialist! Once my Payroll course is over, my company will be sending me to night school to become an Accountant. I’m so excited!
My previous jobs have included Sales Assistant in a Sporting Goods store and a high end department store, also, for two an a half years, I was A Flight Attendant for a well known (and hated!) European Airline.
What countries have you travelled to?
Not including when I worked as a Flight Attendant (as we didn’t have stopovers, Boo!) I haven’t travelled as much as I’d have liked, but then again, I’m only young and I’m getting there!
I’ve been all over Spain and the Canary Islands.
England – Liverpool
Wales – Aberystwyth and Cardiff
Germany (although it was fire training for work… I did stay 3 nights though, so it counts!) – Hahn
UAE – Dubai
Italy – Naples region & Rome
France – Paris
Czech Republic – Prague
And in November I’m going to Budapest (Hungary) with my boyfriend. I can’t wait!
Do you speak any other languages ?
Yes and no. I speak Irish (which is a language, unfortunately the majority of the world don’t know!) and it’s a beautiful language. Even though it has died out in Ireland, there are still regions that speak it explicitly. These regions are called Gaeltachts and are usually over the west or far north west of Ireland.
I also took 3 years of French, so I can have a basic conversation and of course, tell you all about myself and my family, what I like to do etc.
I also took Japanese for 3 years which was my biggest passion. stupidly, I have it up before our final year exams as it was an extra school subject and I was getting stressed out. I really regret it though, as I was very, very good at it. So again, I can do the basics and write Hiragana & Katakana alphabets.
I can speak a good bit of Lithuanian more than my basic Spanish, German, Italian, Russian and Polish which I can say such things as directions, hello, goodbye, yes, no, how are you etc. And I can also say the alphabet in Greek!
Okay, so I might have been a little obsessed with languages…
Why do you Blog?
I’ve always been a fan of the blogosphere and it’s where I’ve gotten all my ideas and inspiration from. It’s taught me so much. I’m too shy for Youtube so I thought Blogging would be a great outlet for me. I’m still getting used to it, but I hope someday I help someone, somewhere, like so many YT’s and bloggers have done for me 🙂
I love my coffee in the morning and flavoured waters throughout the day. I’ve given up fiZzy drinks (soda) so sometimes on the weekend I’ll have one as a treat. If you’re talking alcohol, a screwdriver. Vodka and OJ 🙂
It’s too difficult to pick a favourite song of all time. Like seriously, who can do that? Right now, my favourites are : Hozier – Angel of Small Death & the Coedine Scene, John Legend – All of Me and shamefully, Nicki Minaj Anaconda … It wakes me up in the morning!
Again, who can really decide? I’m an avid reader. I read so many books that sometimes I completely forget what I’ve read, which isn’t good, I know. My most recent reads were the 3AM kisses series by Addison Moore. They’re kind of a ‘fluffy’ light read.
For makeup- Boots. Boots is a ‘drug store’ pharmacy. They sell everything. From Estée Lauder, Benefit, Smashbox to Sleek, Rimmell, Maybelline, Revlon. They sell makeup accessories, nail stuff, moisturisers, everything. I’m addicted.
For clothing I’d have to say New Look. New Look is a highly affordable British clothing chain that opened in Ireland a good few years back. You get on trend pieces for a small price tag and the quality is brilliant!
Does Starbucks count..? Otherwise it would have to be Thunderroad Cafe in Dublin city. They have motorcycles hanging from the roof, the best food and cocktails ever. What more could you want?
Favourite Fashion Brand
I adore Stop Staring which is a 50’s style brand. I also love Lucy Paris and Virgo Lounge.
Favourite Lazy Day Outfit
A pretty, loose dress, cardigan, boots and a scarf. Especially for Autumn.
Favourite item of Clothing
Would have to be a dress my sister have to me. She lived in Australia for three years. This dress is from an Aussie label ‘Forever New’ I think it’s called and is a fabulous peachy coral colour. Only problem is, we don’t get good weather here and it’s extremely short so I have yet to wear it! It’s hung on the back of my door so I can stare at it though!.
There’s a million more questions, but I do think this post is long enough! I hope you liked it and enjoyed learning a little more about the girl behind the computer.
Here are my questions!
