Fashion Fixx ~ Adore Me Lingerie

‘What makes me feel sexy?’..

It’s a question I find myself asking on numerous occasions for some reason. Be it going to a party, on a date, shopping or writing. I’ve realised that I feel my absolute best when wearing new lingerie. Whether it’s girly & lacy or sultry & sexy, nothing beats new sets. Even if it is for my eyes only.

It’s time to get down to it and talk about all things lacy, frilly and girly. I’ve recently been introduced to Adore Me lingerie and have been given a little task of styling some of their fabulous line of underwear.

I chose their Breakfast at Tiffanys bra which immediately caught my eye. It is a gorgeous mix of lace and satin in a beautiful tiffany blue/ mint green. I’m one of those girls who love matching all my outfits and underwear is no different. I even love matching my underwear to my outerwear.  (Please say I’m not the only one) especially if I have a date or if I want a mood boost on that particular day.  It’s like my own little secret.. no one knows but me and I like to think it gives me a little power boost. (Okay, maybe it is just me..)

I’ve chosen a gorgeous pair of strappy mint green sandals from Guess. As they’re ‘barely there’ sandals, they’re dainty but the  stilleto heel gives it that sexy edge.

I’d keep the Base of my makeup simple and opt for a matte rose pink lip such as ‘She’s so Shy’ by Beauty Bar Baby on Etsy or ‘Brave’ by Mac which is a personal favourite of mine.  Has anyone ever tried Beauty Bar Baby? Let me know in the comments below as the lipstick looks amazing!wpid-wp-1437599672208.jpegOn the eyes I’d go for a simple brown smokey eye with a pop of champagne pink on the inner tearducts. The Urban Decay Naked 3 palette would be perfect for this look and I’ve included a little diagram below. Of course a cat eye is a must. Keep it thin and close to your lash line for subtle yet sexy eyes. Don’t forget mascara. Apply til your hearts content but please, I’m begging you to forgo the spider leg lashes..

Firstly, apply Strange as your brow bone highlight. Blend Limit in to your crease and bring it slightly above. Next, use Burnout on the inner corner of your eye and on the inner corner of your lower lash line. Blend Nooner in to the outer third of your eye and in to the crease, no higher. Finally, add Buzz to the centre of your lid and BLEND BLEND BLEND!. If you prefer a darker, more smokey look, I recommend adding Factory or Darkside to the outer corner and outer corner of your crease.

Keep contouring to a minimum as you want to look fresh-faced and perky. I’d opt for contouring my cheek bones and ever so slightly contouring my forehead. I’d then highlight the bridge of my nose, under my eyes and centre of my forehead. I’d choose a baby pink blush applied lightly to the apples of my cheeks and brought up the cheekbone ever so slightly. For this look, I would choose Urban Decay Flushed palette for all three.

You can’t forget about your nails girls. . The one thing that irritates me more than anything is a girl wearing chipped nail Polish.  We’re not all perfect, I know, but leaving your nail Polish on for weeks and letting it chip off bit by bit instead of just removing it is just gross, so if you do wear polish don’t let it chip off! I’ve chosen a dusty rose pink by Essie in ‘Swept off my Feet’. In reality, it is a lot more pink based than in the picture!

I hope you all enjoyed this post, and I highly recommend heading over to here and checking out some of their lingerie, swimwear and nightwear.

From Where I Stand – OOTD’s

Hello again!

This week, I’ve really been trying my best to get good outfit of the day pictures. Sadly, this didn’t go too well as I was always either rushing out the door or the lighting was sketchy. From Where I Stand photo’s are always great, I can usually get the main body of my outfit in, without revealing too much and also, they can be taken in public without too many people noticing! (It does tend to get awkward when they do see you taking photo’s of your body in the middle of the street.. just saying’)

Recently, I’ve noticed my absolute obsession with shoes – from sandals to heels to runners. I love them all and I want them all. My first FWIS of the week included my new favourites – White and black bow detailed sandals from River Island. I got these on sale last week for around 25 euro. I remember falling in love with them weeks ago, so when I saw them on sale and one pair left in my size I just had to buy them.   I paired these with my white skinny jeans and a long length, chiffon, side-split cami from Penneys (Primark).

My next FWIS featured my beloved white jeans yet again, this time paired with an oversized chiffon navy polkadot shirt and the cutest brogues I have ever seen in my life. Who doesn’t need a paid of leopard print shoes in their wardrobe?

I got this pair on sale in Aldo for 22 euro (STEAL!). The shirt is from Romwe and the jeans are good old New Look.

Last but not least – today’s FWIS.

Casual Sunday Breakfast out with my parents called for Ripped black skinny jeans from Topshop, a grey cami and oversized red tartan shirt from River Island together with my amazing new black heeled sandals from none other than – Dunnes Stores. I can safely say I never really pictured myself loving their clothes and shoes as much as I do. These sandals are definitely a new wardrobe staple. That paired with the fact I got them at 50% off (12 euro!, who doesn’t love a good bargain?), you can’t go wrong really!

That’s all for today 🙂 Leave your comments below with suggestions of what you’d like to see on Dancing in Dior and don’t forget to follow me on Twitter & Instagram @dancingindior

Fashion Fix ~ Outfit of the Day

Hello 🙂

This is my first ever full outfit of the day. As I work in an office, there’s not much choice when it comes to dressing first thing in the morning. I would be considered the least ‘conservative’ in the office and would often wear brighter colours than most.

I don’t like to wear much jewelry in work because honestly, I can’t stand the noise of bracelets and watches clacking off the keyboard. When I get stressed, the noise makes my head want to explode.

It is Summer after all, so I opted for an extremely bright orange roll neck shirt, basic black bodycon skirt, black tights and black Zanni & Co boots.

How beautiful is this shirt? I’d never usually pick such a bright colour but the detailing is out of this world. Just above the pleats there is is a zipper.

I got this in Dunnes Stores for €25.

My bodycon skirt was given to me by my sister and I got my boots in a local boutique, Shoe be Do for around €50 last year.

On my way put the door I did grab my black, ankle length, ribbed cardigan from New Look that I got for €10 in their sale in January. My office can be quite chilly sometimes and this is perfect for it. It’s a lightweight material so I still feel a little summery.

That’s all for now 🙂

Photography Journal ~ Prague

Prague is without a doubt one of my favourite cities in Europe. It is a city steeped in history and of course, beauty. Whether having dinner overlooking the Vltava River, admiring Charles’ Bridge up close or getting lost wandering up Petrin Hill, you can’t help but to feel as though it’s a magical place.

I’ve been to Prague 3 times and I certainly plan on visiting again. If you’re planning on visiting and need a few ideas of what to do, I’ll add a list of my favourite things to do at the bottom of this post.

For some reason, my photo’s are not showing up in the correct quality, does anyone know how to fix this!?

Charles’ Bridge.

Charles’ Bridge Tower

1. Petrin Hill & Petrin Tower – If you’re looking for a little exercise while on holidays, Petrin Hill should definitely be your first stop! It’s 1043 feet high and quite a trek.. If you’d still like to visit and rather not walk up, there is a cable car that can take you to the top! Petrin Observation Tower was built in 1891 and is 299 steps to the top. (I highly recommend taking water – the three times I climbed the hill and tower, I forgot water)

2. Astronomical Clock – Medievil Astronomical Clock built in 1410. It is the worlds 3 oldest Astronomical Clock and the worlds ONLY working Astronomical Clock.

3. Hunger Wall – Built in the 14th century

4. Prague Castle

5. Charles’ Bridge

6. Shopping in Palladium.

Beauty Box ~ M.A.C Eyeshadow Collection

Hello, Hello!

As promised, here’s my M.A.C eyeshadow collection. I’ve grown to absolutely adore M.A.C.. I was never a huge fan before.

~ Swatches ~

Wedge, Cork, Swiss Chocolate, Antiqued.

Cranberry, Coppering, Red Brick, Rule.

Sushi Flower, Coral, Sable, Mythology, Expensive Pink, Amber Lights.

My favourite combinations would definitely have to be any red toned shade together – I adore red eyeshadow and as scary as red brick looks, it’s truly fab in your crease.

Combination 1 ~
Expensive Pink (inner corner), Mythology (outer third), Sable (crease) Expensive Pink lower lashline

Combination 2 ~
Cranberry (all over lid, lower lashline), Coppering (crease and outer corner)

Combination 3 ~
Cranberry (inner corner & outer corner on both top and bottom lid and lashline) Amber Lights (centre lid and centre lower lashline) with a dark brown/ black In crease. I’d usually use one from UK or my Sephora palette.

Combination 4~
Sushi Flower (outer third and in to outer crease) Coral (crease and inner corner), Expensive Pink (lid) Medium warm brown in the outer 3rd and crease to deepen it a bit.

Combination 5 ~
One of my favourite looks for either everyday or night. For night, I’d add a dark brown or black to the crease. This literally takes 3 minutes!
Swiss chocolate all over lid, Antiqued in outer corner, crease and lower lashline.

What are your favourite MAC shadows and combinations? I’m looking to add to my collection!

Here’s a quick picture I took this morning (as I was running out the door for my bus! Apologies for the derp face!) This is combination 1 except instead of sable, I used the medium/dark brown from the naked basics 1 palette. I get so many compliments when I wear this combination! Including today 🙂
